New to Church?
Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.
Key information about the church...
Where & when does the church meet?
Our church meets every Sunday at 10:30am for our Sunday service. Aim to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you can park.
We meet at:
Wheatley Lane Road
You can see a map on our contact us page.
What should I expect when I visit the church?
You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our stewards who will be able to answer any questions you may have.
We usually begin with news and information about events coming up in the next few weeks. There will be about 20 mins of worship mostly using modern worship songs and sometimes including opportunities for church members to contribute. This followed by prayer, led by a member of the congregation. A passage from the bible is read, usually by one of the children, before they go to their classes. During the hymn that follows we take an offering for the work of the church, 10% of which is given to a missionary or ministry organisation (if you're a guest, we don't expect you to contribute if you don't want to). Next, the minister, one of the preaching team or a visiting speaker will preach, and the service will conclude with a hymn.
After the service, two members of the congregation will be available to pray with you in confidence if you so wish.
Refreshments are served in the coffee lounge after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.
What do the kids do at church?
We have a great programme for the kids at the Church for:
Younger children: Infants and younger primary school age
Juniors: Older primary and younger high school age
Children stay with their parents as we worship together for the first part of the service. Someone will announce when it's time for the children to go to their groups. You will need to go with your children and register them the first time they attend. Of course, they don't need to go out if they don't want to, but please bring something for them to read or do during the sermon if that is the case.
For more information about what is available for children please visit the relevant page under church life.
Is there a dress code?
No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.
Will I have to join in?
Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
We have more information for you specifically if you…
I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them?
Please feel free to contact us.
